Iran Oil Show opens in Tehran

Some 1,000 Iranian and foreign companies have participated in the exhibition, which will run for four days.
Italy, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, Spain, Finland, Britain, France, Japan, the Netherlands, the UAE, South Korea, Croatia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Austria, Armenia, and Azerbaijan are among the foreign participants in the exhibition.
Some $30b invested in Iran’s oil industry
Talking on the sidelines of the oil show, Oil Minister Rostam Qasemi said
some $30 billion was invested in the Iranian oil industry in the past calendar year, which ended on March 20.
All this came despite all the financial problems, Qasemi said, adding the figure is anticipated to grow in the current year.
In October 2012, Qasemi said that Iran is investing $100 billion to boost its oil and gas production. 
“As part of a new government policy to boost energy production, we are currently investing $100 billion in new oil and gas exploration and production,” he added.
Iran exported $12b worth of petrochemical products last year
Iran exported some $12 billion worth of petrochemical products in the past Iranian calendar year.
The volume of exported products amounted to about 16 million tons.
Petrochemical products were exported to around 60 countries of the world, Deputy Oil Minister Abdolhossein Bayat said recently.
The Far East, Central Asia, Southeast Asia and Africa were the main destinations of the Iranian products.
