Apricot is the west China and Siberia native fruit. In the world rating Iran ranks second after Turkey in producing apricot. Apricot production is more than 450,000 ton per year in this country. Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Italy are the other competitors in this field after Iran


We can call“Shekarpareh” , “Shams”, “Nakhjavan” and “Ghermez e shahroud” as importantkinds of apricot, especially “shekarpareh” that is cultivated in many areas of Iran.“Qeisi” is a kind of small and quite bad quality apricot that is used as dried fruit
